As the outrage continues in
Nigeria, four villages have been attacked by Boko Haram militants in the
north-eastern section of Nigeria
Approximately forty civilians
and six insurgents have been killed as militants and vigilantes clashed
It is the latest assault on
villages near Chibok, the town where more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted in
April
These schoolgirls have still
not been released in spite of International outrage
Hundreds of villagers have
been killed in similar attacks in recent months, as a state of emergency is in
force in northern Nigeria
The Nigerian Government is
quite rightly coming under pressure
Their actions on defeating
this terrorist group seem to be going backwards instead of forwards
Vigilante groups armed with
bows and arrows and hunting rifles have been trying to defend their villages
against these attacks
Meanwhile Government forces
do nothing
Nigerian villagers have seen
their Air Force planes flying over their areas, but still nothing gets done
The people have been
complaining that there are not enough soldiers on the ground
They are calling on the
Government to arm vigilante forces, who are trying to do something about it
A number of churches were
also attacked during Sunday services and worshippers killed before the
militants went on to burn another town
The Nigerian Government is
not fit for purpose and should stand down
Another Government must be
formed, which has the heart and interest of the people
The new Government must able
to make the ultimate sacrifice in saving their people’s lives
As Mankind becomes more
arrogant in its approach to life, they will find that situations will turn for
them
This will not be to their
benefit or interest
It is that attitude that
Mankind has a right to do and say as they please without thought, which
continually offends others
This is what is primarily
happening in the world today
Nobody is prepared to meet
another halfway
It appears it is always the
dominant over the dominated, who win and suppresses the actions of another
We have lost the art of give
and take and to allow for others to express their views, because on many
occasions they are right
Until we can all enter into a
dialogue, which will become mutually beneficial and where there is compromise
instead of dominance…
…there can be no security or
wellbeing for anybody in this world
Those who wish to dominate
others will find that resistance and anger is at the very heart of their
frustration
Nothing ever long-term can be
accomplished, only resentment and hatred
The bully boys of today’s
society will continue to inflict pain and hardship among us all
They must start to view
people’s problems with understanding and compassion
This is something they find
almost impossible to do. Hence their continuous downfall and fear that dictates
the way they behave
The Vatican has convicted a
former papal envoy to the Dominican Republic of sex abuse and stripped him of
the priesthood
Jozef Wesolowski originally
came from Poland
Wesolowski was recalled by
the Church last year after claims he had abused boys in Santo Domingo
Wesolowski is the highest
ranking Vatican official to be investigated for sex abuse
Pope Francis has urged the
Church to root out and punish abuse by priests
Wesolowski has served as
envoy to the Dominican Republic for five years
As a citizen of the Vatican
Wesolowski also faces criminal charges in the city state, which could lead to a
prison sentence
Pope Francis has pledged a
crackdown on clerics and employees of the Church who exploit minors comparing
their actions to a satanic mass
The Church is rife with the
epidemic of sexual predators within its establishment and they go to the very
top of its establishment
None are safe in this
environment. It will take decades to sort them all out and it is long overdue
If the Church wants to make
its peace with the public then it must root out this epidemic of sick
individuals
It must expel them from the
Church and the society of their sick ways
If the Church wants to
recover at all from its debauched past it has to be open and transparent and to
name and shame these culprits
Otherwise trust will never be
there again in the future. It is not there now and that is down to their closed
door policies
Canada’s Tsilhqot’in First
Nation Indians have been granted a title of more than 1,700sq km of their ancestral
land in British Columbia
The native groups now have
the ability to gain control of traditional land and authority to prevent
development there
The Tsilhqot’in, a group of
six native bands, said the ruling by the Supreme Court was a victory in a 150
year fight over their land
This ruling will have wide
implications for development in the resource-rich area
It could also have a dramatic
impact on the development of the Northern Gateway Pipeline
It’s an oil industry project
that will link Alberta’s oil sands to the Pacific Coast & goes through
lands claimed by First Nation groups
Their current legal battle
dates to 1983 when the province of British Columbia granted a commercial
logging licence on the Tsilhqot’in land
The Tsilhqot’in claimed they had
hunted and traded on these lands for centuries
They objected and wanted to
prevent logging licences on their land
Canada’s highest court now
recognises that the tribes have a claim to these lands even if they are
semi-nomadic, which is their life-style
It has taken them 150 years
to be finally recognised that this was always their land and is now stated in
law
It shows that if you believe
in something that is worth fighting for and the law is just in its delivery
then…
…situations can change and give
the rightful people a chance to determine their own futures
The Catholic Church is at
last paying its dues on the sexual abuse that they have imposed on these
innocent children
The Catholic Archdiocese of
Seattle has settled 30 sexual abuse claims by men who attended two religious
schools as long as six decades ago
The abuse to the children
attending these schools was grossly shameful
Both schools were run by the
Christian Brothers order some 30-60 years ago
The victims, who are now
between 42 and 68 years old, said the Church failed to protect them
The settlement involves
$12.1m, which will be paid out by the archdiocese insurance
Eleven males were sexually
abused in one school and five more were abused in another school
The King County Superior Court
stated that both the Christian Brothers and the archdiocese failed to protect
these children from abusers
The plaintiffs will also
receive settlement money from 2011 bankruptcy proceedings
These were made against the
Christian Brothers following hundreds of abuse claims
Archbishop Peter Sartain
wrote in a statement that he deeply regrets the pain suffered by these victims
These words are meaningless
to all those victims; one might as well say Mickey Mouse was sorry
Archbishop Peter Sartain
words carry no weight and it is a mockery of an apology
These souls live are forever
tarnished. They feel unclean, unhealthy and they can never erase the stain of
what has been done to them
Those abused souls are
forever scared and the Archbishop says he truly regrets the pain suffered
It is high time that
accountability by the Church is fully raised and that the perpetrators are
named and shamed
No longer can these abusers
continue to hide behind their frocks and the Church
The Supreme Court in China
has overturned the death sentence against a woman who killed her husband after
months of domestic abuse
The woman Li Yan beat her
husband to death as she could not stand it any longer
Her husband Tan Yong started
kicking her shortly after they married in 2009
He beat her and stubbed out
cigarette butts on her face and chopped off part of a finger
Li Yan complained about the
abuse to the local police and community officials, but no action was taken
In November 2010 Li Yan could
not take it anymore
While in a fight with her
husband, she hit him with the butt of an air rifle. He further threatened to
shoot her with it
Evidence of her abuse was
presented in court, but the courts ruled there was not enough evidence that she
was a victim of domestic abuse
She was then sentenced to
death in 2011
Li Yan appealed against her
death sentence on self-defence grounds, but that appeal was rejected by the
Sichuan High Court
It took Amnesty International
as well as lawyers, scholars & non-governmental groups to send in petitions
asking the courts to reconsider
The green light was given for
Li Yan to be executed in 2013
Hundreds of lawyers,
activists and others raced to petition the authorities on her behalf
They asked that Li Yan’s
claims for domestic abuse be investigated & that the law take into
consideration the strong evidence of that abuse
Since taking over the right
to review all death sentences in 2007 the Supreme Court has overturned many
cases of fraud and rape
However it is quite rare for
a death sentence involving murder to be overturned
This move has been welcomed
by human rights groups and marks another step in China’s efforts to reduce
crimes punishable by death
Li Yan now faces a retrial in
Sichuan
It is hoped that
consideration for her lengthy suffering at the hands of her deranged husband be
taken into consideration
It is hoped that compassion
with justice for her is fully given
Until Governments and
institutions start to realise the extent and severity of domestic abuse the
world over then none are safe in society
At last common sense
prevails. A Sudanese woman sentenced to death for abandoning her Islamic faith
has been freed from jail
Meriam Ibrahim’s death
penalty was overturned by an appeal court
She is married to a Christian
man and was sentenced to death by hanging under Sharia Law
She refused to renounce
Christianity, which is her choice
But the courts say she has to
remain a Muslim, because it was her father’s faith but not hers
Her husband is delighted and
looking forwards to seeing his beautiful wife and daughter
Meriam Ibrahim gave birth to
their daughter while in prison
The courts said she could
nurse her daughter for two years before being executed
Her husband said he wanted to
leave Sudan as soon as possible with his family
Meriam Ibrahim has shown
extraordinary courage during her ordeal
This is a victory for freedom
of religion in Sudan
By the strong position now
given, it is hoped that in the future no one will be subjected to such a trial
The outcry generated by Meriam
Ibrahim’s case was difficult for the authorities to ignore
The Government in Khartoum is
already dealing with economic conflicts in Darfur and they do not need any more
ill-feelings internationally
What is so wonderful is that
the most vocal opponents of the conviction were the Sudanese themselves and not
foreigners
Which goes to show the power
of the people can make a difference if right thinking is applied and right
justice becomes operational
We all wish Meriam Ibrahim
and her family well for their future
The court in Egypt has given
three Al-Jazeera journalists sentences of between seven and ten years in prison
There is no evidence of these
crimes
The outrage felt around the
world for these three journalists, who are innocent of any crimes other than
doing their jobs
The three journalists are
Peter Greste, Mohammed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed. Our hearts go out to them!
The mockery of the Egyptian
system of justice shows that there is no legal justice
Their dictatorship policies
are no different to their judicial systems
In other words, the entire
Egyptian people have no recourse to legal representation in this modern world
Nor do they have any
legitimate journalists covering world events in the normal way
The indignation and injustice
will be felt by the entire world on these three men
The American Government are
also aiding and abetting this regime by giving money to the military, so that
they can keep their man in power
The double standards by
America is an outrage to law and order
They cannot take the moral
high ground with their own input and by condoning the actions of this regime
Let us hope and pray that the
Higher Power will bring sense to those who actually have a conscience
There is a need for real
justice to be implemented in this tragic land
A major anti-drug police
operation in Albania has been successful. Police have netted more than 25
tonnes of marijuana
The village of Lazarat is now
under their control
It took 800 officers, who
were engaged in a five-day operation, with many under fire from heavily armed
locals
This small village is
believed to be Europe’s biggest illegal producer of marijuana
It has been producing around
900 tonnes of marijuana annually worth 4.5bn euros
This is the equivalent to
almost half of Albania’s gross domestic product
State police destroyed the 20
year old taboo of a crime zone
They destroyed 25 tonnes of
marijuana and over 90,000 cannabis plants, together with four drug processing
laboratories
Many of the gang leaders escaped,
but will soon be captured as they will be informed on by those who have been
imprisoned
The unbreakable village of
Lazarat is no more
Sadly it has taken a new Government
campaign to stamp out the marijuana economy in its bid to become part of the EU
Albania is Europe’s leading
marijuana producer, despite efforts in the past to clamp down on its activities
It is times like this when
criminal activities are eventually closed down & the disruptive forces that
hold a country to ransom are no more
To do what is right is not
only for the people, but for the country at large
These criminal activities
show that the country has no care towards decency for its people
Italy has to contend with the
Mafia, literally sucking the lifeblood from its citizens and its economy
The rest of the world can
have no respect while the Mafia call the shots & the amount of corruption
is above anything that’s good and decent
The Italian people are
forever stained by these criminal elements and so it is with the Albanians
They are equally stained by
their criminal ways and decency is not allowed to flourish and grow
It is the few who dictate to
the masses and all are let down by these tyrannical dictates
In the end none prosper,
because by Spiritual Law what is not born out of decency can never flourish and
grow
It should be up to the
industrious people of Albania to grow food for its people
Then they can begin to export
allowing free trade and honesty to flourish
The generosity of Mankind
towards another is sometimes overlooked.
Many have been saved by Air-Sea Rescue and the Lifeboat people
The Royal National Lifeboat
Institution (RNLI) saves lives at sea
Volunteers provide a 24 hour
search and rescue in the UK and Republic of Ireland
These volunteers include
4,600 lifeboat crew and 3,000 volunteer shore crew
As many as 24 rescues occur
each day and many risk their own lives in saving others
A freak accident involving a
father and his son could have ended in tragedy when both father and son were
thrown overboard into the sea
The Mayday distress signal
was sent out and the men were carried away from their boat by the tide
They were rescued by the RNLI
and both father and son were treated for shock and first aid was given
Another tragedy occurred when
a speed boat went out of control throwing a family of six overboard
The driver who was ejected
from the boat did not have the kill cord in his hand to operate the engine to
stop
It continued to circle out of
control and ran over members of the family a number of times
The father and his eight year
old daughter were killed and the rest of the family suffered injuries and the
mother lost her leg
The quick thinking of Mr
Toogood, a water-skiing instructor, leapt into the speed boat
He was able to stop the
boat’s engine from causing further harm
The emergency services do an
outstanding job with both lifeboats and helicopters in full assistance in the
rescue
Six French fishermen were rescued
off the Cornish coast in a joint operation with lifeboat men and helicopters
from RNAS Culdrose
The crew had to abandon ship
as huge waves struck them in gale force winds. All six were safely brought to
shore
It was a difficult rescue and
much credit goes to the outstanding bravery of the RNLI and the winch man on
the helicopter
These people are special, as
they jump to the challenge of helping others with a selfless attitude to do
what they feel is right
They save the lives of so
many
We are grateful for their
dedication, for without them many would die and be at the mercy of the seas in
dangerous as well as calm times
They are the unsung heroes
We all owe them a debt of
gratitude for their selfless acts of bravery
These search & rescue men
are called up to face intolerable tasks with compassion & sensitivity
It is time now that President
Poroshenko and President Putin sat down and talked face to face
President Poroshenko’s peace
plan won’t work unless there is further compromise from President Putin
The world is now watching and
waiting
The fact that Moscow is
responsible for the heavy fighting going on in Donetsk by the pro-Russian
rebels needs to be addressed
If Russia thinks it can ride
roughshod over Ukraine it is greatly mistaken and further reprisals, which
neither side wants, will occur
President Putin has at least
kept his promise to withdraw his troops back to the Ukraine boarder, but more
needs to be done
A form of respect by the
Ukrainian and Russian people for the election of President Poroshenko needs to
be observed
They must give him a chance
to bring back stability for the entire country
It is in Russia’s interest to
allow for the Ukraine to become viably solvent again
Then they’ll become a full
trading partner with gas prices being paid on time
At present they are being
held to ransom over debts they are not able to pay
The previous President
Yanukovych, who embezzled the country, has left it where it is today
That is why this statement of
unity now needs to come about
The last corrupt Government
had led Ukraine to this point in time
It is right that all the
people, both Ukrainians and Russians, acknowledged this fact
Allow the new Government to
bring back stability to its people
A better understanding of
common interests between Ukraine and Russia must be allowed
Both benefiting from each
other is far more desirable then conflict
It is both expensive in human
and monetary terms and gains nothing
Greatness is achieved by
those who take responsibility and that means from both President Poroshenko and
President Putin
Can they manage it?
The Internet trade in images
that show child sex abuse is now at epidemic proportions
This is according to the head
of the global initiative to combat the problem
Police officers from around
the world serve on the Virtual Global Taskforce
There has been an explosion
in cases handled by the US authorities
The US alone has 61 Internet
Crimes Against Children (ICAC) units. Each of these units is made up of state,
local police and federal agents
Lt Andrea Grossman from the
Los Angeles Police Department has conducted these operations three to five
times a week
The amount of images of child
sexual abuse which is on the Internet, Lt Grossman said, is beyond their control
Earlier this year Lt Grossman
and colleagues were in London training 100 British detectives from across the
UK
They have taught them the
advance techniques for tracking suspects online and gathering evidence
This cooperation between the
US and the UK has now led to some high profiled arrests
There has to come a time when
the Internet giants start to close down these operations of this disgusting
perversion
The victims which are the
children, some as young as six years old, are scarred for life
Many will go on to become
paedophiles themselves, as it is a life which many will only know and by learnt
behaviour will think it is right
What a sick global society we
are rearing. There needs to be a more robust solution to safeguard the innocent
and to expose the guilty
These sick minds need
institutional therapy and for a long time or they will reoffend again
Paedophiles are extremely
manipulative people and will stop at nothing to satisfy their lust for children
and their control over them
Parents must be more diligent
in protecting their children and to observe the signs when they appear
These are seen as being
morose, crying and wanting to withdraw from society
Our children are the most
precious souls we have and we need to protect them from these sick minded
people
As the world approaches
another impasse in human development, it appears that Mankind will not listen
to reason
Mankind is hell-bent on doing
what is right for the individual and not what is right for all concerned
Until Mankind starts collectively
to address the many issues that are causing worldwide concern, it will fall
into the abyss of nothingness
All will become a lethargic
wasteland of incompetence and fear
We must stand up and be
counted and to see the bigger picture that we are all in together
The name blame is always
handed out as the easy option
It is high time we all look
at out our own personal responsibilities and to start putting matters right
Until we all wake up to this
fact, the human concept will slowly decline
At this moment the distrust
in family situations is at the lowest level of human disaster
Families are torn apart
because one or two people act in an irresponsible fashion
Its effects are to virtually
destroy the rest of the family around them
Those damage souls find it
difficult to live and surviving on a daily basis is hell on earth for them to
bear
Yet bear it they must,
otherwise the alternative can be too daunting to contemplate
Until we stand up to those
who bully us & destroy our peaceful existence for their own personal gain
we are complicit in our own destruction
This cannot be allowed to
happen
So it is that the Higher
Intelligence is now bringing about a form of realisation to all those who will
listen
They must start to change the
status quo so that we can allow
ourselves to become liberated from these manipulative people
It is their aim to set their
own agenda by bringing us to serve them!
We are all entitled to live
in harmony
In order for that to happen
we have to stand up to these malevolent beings for our own sake otherwise we
are all lost!
At last, the common sense of
the court in Cairo to release the Al-Jazeera journalist Abdullah Eishamy
Abdullah Eishamy’s hunger
strike was done as a protest against the courts that had no evidence for
imprisoning him without charge
They still do not have any
evidence, but because he is so ill they have now decided to release him
We all hope he can get the
right treatment and be able to fully recover once released
Further injustice to the
other Al-Jazeera journalists also detained without charges are: Peter Greste,
Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed
It has been said that a court
will deliver its verdict on these other three Al-Jazeera journalists next week
It will be for their complete
release
If the court is to have any
standing for justice in this world, they must be seen to be doing the right
thing
The world watches and waits!
The world is in such a mess,
brought on by the greed and destruction of Mankind upon the others
It is all very well what
politicians say about people who are terrorising others that we should go in
and invade
Without thinking why, are
they doing these atrocities in the first place?
The unrest found by so many
people around the world is where there are genuine grievances
Here Governments and
dictators have put people lives in abject misery
The whole world is in an
uproar
Even the planet itself is
heavy under the negativity of its people’s distain
This is how they deal with
the constant destruction against Mankind and beast alone
The planet itself is under
threat with pollution, a worldwide problem and nobody seems to care or is
interested in doing anything about it
For those who do have a
conscience, they are battling an uphill struggle to maintain a planet fit for
habitation
Yet the Governments that are
in power seem to cast a blind eye when it suits them
They only doing something
when they are forced to, yet at other times it seems almost irrelevant and not
worth thinking about
Warmongering is the only
thing that interests people these days
This is how one group of
people feel they can suppress another simply because they want power over them
The love for humanity, the
planet and environmental issues are not important against the backdrop of
hatred and corruption
When will Mankind wake up to
the fact that responsible action and right thinking is the only way forwards?
That is if we are to save
this planet and Mankind
At the rate we are going with
killings & disease, it will only be a matter of time before Mankind
completely destroys itself & this planet
Fortunately for us there is a
Higher Intelligence now working behind the scenes
This will allow with enough
fuel to burn situations out completely
In other words those who seek
to destroy will be wiped out by their own hand
Internal infighting will see
many situations implode and be rendered ineffective
This will allow for these
factions to erase themselves from the history books and for a new more lenient
mind-set to evolve
Like Rome, that great nation
rose and fell and was no longer the superpower of its time
All Empires eventually fall.
It is just a matter of time
In this world already the
superpowers are not what they once were and they are beginning to see their
powers greatly reduced
They are now becoming more
second rate, much to their own disapproval, but the facts are already there
Slowly the balance of power
is beginning to shift and a new ideology will emerge
Then the people and most
importantly of all justice will be at the heart of doing what is right and fair
for all
The bullyboy tactics will be
removed and tolerance for each other will be the law by which we will all learn
to live
The situation in Iraq,
although worrying, is not irreparable
The ISIS Sunni insurgents,
although militant, are not the main cause of unrest in Iraq
The unrest is what Prime
Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the leader of the Shiite political party, has invoked
He was appointed by George W.
Bush
Maliki and his Shiite party
promised to run a more inclusive Government to bring in more Sunnis into the
ministries
He was to bring Sunnis from
the sons of Iraq’s militia into the national army allowing for better
integration & equality of the armed forces
Maliki was to also settle
property disputes in Kirkuk & to negotiate a formula on sharing oil
revenues with the Sunni districts & much more
Maliki has backpedalled on
all of these commitments and pursued policies designed only to strengthen the
Shiites and marginalise Sunnis
The Sunnis having found
themselves excluded from the political process & have now taken up arms as
the only route to power
In this process they have
formed alliances with Sunni jihadist groups such as ISIS who have already
seized Mosul and much of northern Iraq
Their principle objective is
that the enemy of their enemy is their friend
Prime Minister Nouri
al-Maliki is now reaping what he has sown and his life will become untenable in
the very near future
Yet again we see that power
corrupts
There is a need to form a
positive collaboration out of the many Iraqi factions, otherwise nothing can be
achieved
All the people in Iraq have
to stand together and to form a union, which is inclusive of all
By dividing and ruling Maliki
will seal his own death warrant
The survival of Africa’s
Elephants is under threat with estimates of more than 20,000 killed in 2013
alone
The poaching numbers are now
outweighing the birth rate with many of the Elephant matriarchs killed
The matriarchs are so
important to help the herds find water holes in times of drought and other
climatic problems
Their important information
is now not able to be handed down, causing distress and problems for young
herds trying to raise their families
The knock on effect that
poaching causes is more severe than the countries who sell them for trinkets
are aware of
Their only concern is money
and how much can they sell the ivory for
This is an International
problem
While countries around the
world continue to buy ivory, there will be no more Elephants left and therefore
no more supplies of ivory at all
One has to ask the obvious
question, “Is this what the world wants?”
If so, then go ahead and
slaughter another 20,000 Elephants and put this species out of existence
Orphan elephants are the
sadness creatures around, their soft loving nature smashed, all because of
man’s greed
It is the ‘I must have’ culture, irrespective of what it does to the
species and to the habitats they roam in
Many other animals co-habit
peacefully with these creatures
They are all part of the
ecosystem, which has taken thousands of years to develop and in which they all
depend
Man’s insatiable greed has
brought great hardships to the Elephants and there is no sign that it is being
abated
The office of the Convention
on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) has done practically
nothing in preventing this disaster
Widespread poaching was
brought to their attention in the 1988-1989
Extensive reporting was done
and undercover operations found out the organisers who were selling the ivory
to and to what countries
Explicate documented proof
and video information brought together a case that showed up the illegal ivory
trade
Again precious little was
done
We, as a human species, are
responsible for the Elephant’s demise
The various organisations,
who are supposed to be protecting the Elephants, have let them down
Due to their dereliction of
duty we are looking now at an endangered species
China has started to destroy
seized ivory in public
At the rate of elephants
being killed, as opposed to those being born, it is now running at a deficit
It is all too little too late
Man is the aggressor here,
not the Elephants. When will we ever learn that we all are here to co-exist
together?
No one has the right to
obliterate a species just because they can for abject greed
A conference is being held in
London, which is discussing holding Governments to account on ending sexual
violence in war zones
Angelina Jolie, who is the UN
special envoy, said a new international protocol represents the ‘beginning of
the fight’ against this practice
The protocol means that
Governments in war zones could no longer say they didn’t know how to tackle
this issue
Angelina Jolie said, “Women around the world are ‘united in this
fight together.’”
To End Sexual Violence in
Conflict global summit brings representatives together from around the world
As many as a 100 countries
are represented
This conference is to create
‘irreversible momentum against sexual violence in conflict’
The reason for this
conference is to highlight the pain and suffering of so many, who have been
abused in this way
A nine year old girl in
Uganda was kidnapped and forced into sexual slavery
The man in Bosnia years after
his rape is still stigmatised, unable to earn enough money to buy bread for his
family
The hidden survivors have
been made to feel ashamed or abandoned
Of the children born out of
the rape situation, the whole world needs to hear their stories
The world has to understand
that injustice cannot be tolerated and that sorrow and compassion are no longer
enough
There are too many brutal and
violent operations happening in this world
Man’s inhumanity to Man is
where none will get away with it, either in this life of the next
All will have to stand up and
be counted by their actions and the penalties in the next life are long and
arduous
As many who have communicated
from the other side of life have already stipulated, nobody gets away with
anything
All is known and dealt with
according to their crimes
A growing concern, as the
increase in child poverty is to rise to 3.5million by 2020, says a watchdog of
former Health Secretary
The Child Poverty Commission
has urged British politicians to work together to end child poverty by 2020
The Child Poverty promised to
cut child poverty to 10% by 2020 and it was enshrined in law in 2010
The child poverty strategy
has fallen short of reducing or even ending child poverty in Britain
There seems to be difficulty
in how to measure poverty and ministers do not agree amongst themselves
There is that old saying that
charity begins at home
Instead Britain is giving so
much aid to foreign countries like India, who have enough spare money to do
space satellite missions to Mars
This cost the Indian
Government $1.3bn
It is said that India is now
racing out of poverty, yet Britain still gives them £280m in aid
Other countries that get aid
from Britain are Ethiopia, £331m every year – a total of £1.325bn up to 2015
Pakistan’s aid is £1.392bn,
Bangladesh £1.6bn, Nigeria £1bn and so the list goes on in African countries
Britain should be looking at
its own poverty, because it is not only the children who are in poverty, but
adults as well
We owe it to our own
citizens, whose taxes go to fund these various countries…
…that their hard-earned money
should go to eradicate poverty in Britain first
Britain needs to establish
health care that is up to the standard that they should expect
Politicians are appointed by
the people to serve the people of that country, something they seem to
conveniently forget
It is the charities that
should fund this aid
The public may want to donate
to those causes and not see their hard-earned money to given away, while their
children starve
Where is the justice in this?
To make amends for one’s
dreadful deeds is never easy and requires great strength and purpose of mind to
do what is right by today’s laws
One has to put aside the ego
and to bring enlightenment back into a sorrowful and sometimes damaged soul
It takes time to begin to see
that to keep swimming against the tide of righteousness is to have a very hard
and difficult life
All the obstacles that one
has to face become more severe with each passing day
When wisdom is finally
reached then swimming with the tide is much easier and life becomes happy and
peaceful again
Where there’s a will there’s
a way
A World War II veteran, who
disappeared from his nursing home to attend the D-Day commemorations in France,
returned to the UK
Bernard Jordan, 89, left his
care home in Hove unannounced to join other veterans in France
He was a former Royal Navy
officer and had gone over to Normandy several times in his life to attend
various commemorations
He did not want to be left
out this time!
Staff at the Care Home has
tried to get him on an accredited tour to Normandy, but failed, so he decided
to make his own way there
A ship’s liaison officer, who
met Mr Jordan on his way to France, said she knew he was a game old boy
“He certainly had his wits about him; he didn’t say much about the
landings, just how pleased he was to be on-board”
“He couldn’t believe how everybody was looking after all of the
veterans, with everybody waving on the route to the harbour entrance”
He kept saying, “All this is for us.”
The bravery of all the armed
forces at that time, where sheer guts and determination to see the job through,
was their main priority
Many of these young souls,
who were under 20 years old, spoke of their fears and apprehension
They had a job to do and that
was that, no one tried shirking their responsibilities and none did. They knew
they were all in this together
Mr Jordan will still carry
the camaraderie of his fellow comrades with him to his dying day
They all depended on one
another, which was to perform the task that peace be restored to Europe
We are all eternally grateful
for their unstinting sacrifice and bravery
World leaders are joining
hundreds of veterans in Normandy to mark the 70th anniversary of the
D-Day landings
Heads of State will meet at
Ouistreham, one of the five beaches where Allied troops landed on 6th
June 1944
The extent of this operation
to invade Nazi-occupied Europe was massive with many members of the armed
forces collaborating
With Allied troops, their
united intention was to bring down a regime which had gone out of control
The sacrifice of all those
brave men and women was that they were prepared to go their deaths
They knew that to bring
freedom to others was for them their greatest achievement
We owe all those young men
and women a debt of gratitude where freedom and democracy are healthier because
of what they believed in
They will never be forgotten
and their lives are a constant reminder that the battle for peace is always a
hard fought one
Peace can never be taken for
granted
We all live in troubled
times, where there has been so much hatred and fear by Mankind towards Mankind
Until we can get better
leaders, who have the best interests of all and not for themselves…
…then we will continue to
battle these forces of power and madness
Mankind does not seem to
learn from its mistakes in allowing dictators to rule and to inflict so much
misery on so many
Higher power countries that
put puppet dictators in power for their own convenience must take the
responsibility for what happens there
Many countries suffer at the
hands of these puppet dictators through the countries who put them there
It is they who have the
people’s blood on their hands
We are all ultimately
responsible for the suffering caused to the people of this world as we sit back
and do nothing
Their suffering has to be our
shame!
The Irish Government will
take out an inquiry after the remains of nearly 800 children were discovered
The remains were found in an
unmarked grave at the former home for unmarried mothers, which was run by the
Catholic Church
The remains were interred in
a concrete septic tank in the grounds of the home in Tuam, County Galway
The children were between two
days old and nine years old. They died between 1925 and 1961
Historian Catherine Corless
found that the register of deaths and burials did not match in the town
When she inquired about the
records of the children who died at the home, she was told there were no
records
She was shocked, as the
children and toddlers were buried in one mass grave that they found on the site
The Catholic Church has
recently come under huge criticism for the abuse and neglect of children under
their care
These are just some of the
continuing shocking incidents that are being revealed about the Catholic Church
Their murky past will
continue to come to the surface until they cleanse themselves of these
horrendous activities
They are so adamant that they
must hide them from the public
Spiritual Law states that
nothing is hidden and, at the appointed time, all will be revealed
One cannot naively hide from
the Higher Intelligence, which sees all
Even the Church should have
realised that or did they think that God was on their side for all these
atrocities
The home at Tuam was one of
ten institutions in which 35,000 unmarried pregnant women were thought to have
been sent
They were the so-called
fallen women
The children born to these
women were denied baptism and were segregated from others at school
If these children died in
these facilities, they were denied a Christian burial
As with all things, it takes
two to make a baby, yet it is always the women who pay the price. The men
always get away scot-free
Nothing is ever done to them.
Where is that justice in this loveless land of Ireland?
The fact that there was no
baptism for their babies meant that in the women’s eyes their children were
doomed to hell
Of course we all know that
hell does not exist, so it won’t have happened to these innocent babies
Yet for those who do believe
in this hypothesis, it is a cruel suffering that those mothers would have
endured, even up to present day
With not granting the
innocent babies a Christian burial, it goes to show the heartless people that
the Catholic Church really is
They purport to be Christian
and loving. They are nothing but hypocrites, as all this exposure to their
faults is now coming to light
More exposure of the Catholic
Church’s filth will emerge. This is but the tip of the iceberg
Boko Haram militants have
killed dozens of people in fresh attacks on villages in the Borno state of
northern Nigeria
It has been known that gunmen
fired on a crowd in a church compound
Boko Haram has waged an
insurgency since 2009 to create an Islamic state in Nigeria
At last it has been uncovered
that several generals have been found guilty of aiding Boko Haram in their
insurgency
They also knew where the 200
kidnapped schoolgirls were detained
It has already been given
that there was insider knowledge as to where these girls have been held
Why has it taken so long for
the authorities to retrieve them?
As many as ten generals and
five other senior military officers have been tried before a court martial
They were tried for supplying
arms and information to the militant group
The latest attack happened on
Tuesday, when residents in the village said armed men had ordered them into the
church compound
At first they thought they
were the Nigerian military, but the men then opened fire on the crowd
Six villages were raided and
thirty people killed
Nigerian President Goodluck
Jonathan had declared a state of emergency since May 2013 in three of the
northern states
Boko Haram will start to see
their efforts being squeezed as new forces start to infiltrate their command
headquarters
They will start to capture
the perpetrators of these crimes
At the same time President
Goodluck Jonathan is not as innocent as he portrays
He too has affiliations
within Boko Haram as will come to light soon enough
The world criticism of his
inaction towards the kidnapped girls and their recovery coupled with his part
in Boko Haram are justified
New evidence will come to
light as there are conspiracies on top of conspiracies
All the Nigerian people are
paying a high price with their lives because of a corrupt Government yet again
The Spanish Government are
discussing the next steps in the process of King Juan Carlos’s abdication
The King wants the accession
for his son, Crown Prince Felipe
King Juan Carlos, who has been
reigning for nearly 40 years, has found in recent years his popularity
plummeted to an all-time low
At present the Spanish
Constitution does not have a precise law regulating abdication and royal
succession
The ministers will discuss
the special legislation that would be necessary for this process
King Felipe will inherit an
institution, whose reputation has been tarnished by scandals in recent years
There has been a long-running
corruption investigation into the business dealing of his sister Princess
Cristina and her husband
Princess Cristina and her
husband Iñaki UrdangarÃn had embezzled millions of euros after leveraging his
royal connects…
…to gain inflated, no-bid
contracts from regional politicians for his non-profit sports foundation,
Institute Noos
He was ordered by the High
Court to return money hidden in offshore accounts that were not rightfully his
Even their lavish home had to
be sold to return monies. The investigation into his affair and that of his
wife, are still ongoing
Further support fell when it
was discovered that King Juan Carlos had a lavish elephant hunting trip in 2012
This was right in the middle
of Spain’s financial crisis
Many Spaniards, who were
unable to make ends meet, were committing suicide daily out of despair
Meanwhile their King was
enjoying all the trappings with no conscience to the everyday turmoil his
fellow citizens were suffering
This Royal household is split
in two with Queen Sophia and her son Prince Felipe on the one side and…
…directly opposed is King
Juan Carlos with his two daughters on the other side
To bring in Prince Felipe to
become King will not really change anything
While King Juan Carlos still
has breath in his lungs he will continue to rule behind the scenes even though
he is in ill health
He will never relinquish
power until he is dead
This is just a show of window
dressing in the hope that his son can restore some sort of popularity in the
monarchy
This country is ever growing
in its wish to become a democracy
It costs the Spanish tax
payers a lot of money to keep the Royal family in the lifestyle they wish to
remain in for precious little return
The tide against this family is
finally turning!
A video has emerged of a
speech by an Iranian military commander
It appears to back claims
that the 2009 elections were rigged against the reformists
This recording has now been
posted on the internet and features the head of the Revolutionary Guards
addressing officials
He can be heard saying that
the reformist election victory seems likely, but it would be unacceptable to
the Guards
The reformists eventually
lost the race prompting huge street protests
Hundreds of thousands of people
demonstrated in the capital Tehran claiming their votes had been stolen, which
of course they had
In the ensuing crackdown
hundreds were killed and thousands jailed
The video of the speech was
posted on the Internet by a well-known dissident in Tehran
He claims the tape is
shameful evidence that the 2009 election was rigged in favour of President
Ahmadinejad
Ahmadinejad was running for
his second term
It seriously undermines the
legitimacy of the Government, which damaged the Islamic system’s reputation
Ahmadinejad, who was
originally a melon seller in the market, was under the control of the
Ayatollahs
Because he had a simple
unintelligent mind they could control him
He was the human puppet for
their purposes against the people whom they controlled
This was possible in his
first term of office, but by the second term he became more astute
He did not want to be
dictated to by his superiors and went openly against their views. He had to be
overthrown
As with all situations when
things are done dishonestly, as in 2009 election was so clearly done…
…so Spiritual Law comes into
effect and the Ayatollahs did not get their own way and dissension amongst the
ranks ensued
The next election forced the
Ayatollahs to bring in a moderate to relieve the populous of a very unpopular
President
Also they had to avoid
another round of unrest that would threaten the stability of the whole system
of Government
This is a regime of control
by the Ayatollahs, where nobody can speak openly about anything for fear of
imprisonment or torture
The populous live under a
cloud of fear which is both stifling & exhausting as everybody lives a
false life of lying to save their own skins
Dictatorship under any guise
comes with a high price and that is met by these people in our modern times
The people will again revolt
and they will take a harder line against their oppressors and they have good
reason to
There always comes a time
when fear is no longer a valid reason for submission
Then life becomes meaningless
and that is when the Government needs to be frightened indeed!
Thank goodness for common
sense and International pressure – a Sudanese woman is to be freed from prison
She was sentenced to death by
a Sudanese judge, who ruled she was to have 100 lashes for adultery and then
hanged
This was because the Islamic
law does not recognise her marriage to her husband
She was ordered to renounce
her religion of Orthodox Christianity and remain in her father’s religion of
Islam
The death sentence was
because she abandoned her father’s Islamic faith
The woman said she would not
renounce her Christian faith and she was sent to prison
There she gave birth to a
daughter and the judge said she could nurse her baby for two years before being
executed
She already had a little boy
by her husband in 2011. The little boy is in prison with her
The court annulled her
Christian marriage, as it does not consider the union valid under Islamic law
With International pressure
and condemnation on Khartoum, they have finally agreed to release the woman
They said that Sudan
guaranteed religious freedom and was committed to protecting the woman
British Prime Minister David
Cameron said the ruling was barbaric and out of step with today’s world
The UK’s Foreign Office said
they will push for release on humanitarian grounds
The woman is expected to be
released in a few days’ time
Much of the world is out of
step in today’s modern society
There has to be religious
tolerance and freedom for all that live in this world. We are all equal under
God’s Law and Love
It is high time that we as a
race start to recognise that if we do not allow for religious expression…
…then we are dictated to by
Man and not by God
Jesus Christ said, “Love they neighbour as thy self and welcome
that neighbour into your own home and break bread with him”
“They are your equal under the Law and should be recognised as
such”
Many of us have forgotten
these words, as our own selfish ways are all that most of us can see
Have we so little compassion
and no more feelings for each other than our own bigoted point of views?
It is now time we all grew up
and started to think spiritually, which is to love all things created by the
Great Creator
We need to know and to show
that we are blessed to be in His presence and help our fellow man wherever we
can
