It seems that President
Obama’s visit to Kenya and Ethiopia has focussed on issues back home in the USA
Obama’s message on human
rights within Kenyan communities has brought about discussions of how African
Americans are treated in the US
His speech was about trying
to tackle the treating of minority communities
This includes Muslims in
Kenya as he stated
“Progress requires that you see the differences and diversity of
the country as a strength”
“Just as we in America try to see the diversity in our country as a
strength”
It has been said that most
Americans think about what needs to be changed in other countries, but need to
solve their own problems first
Many Kenyans are concerned
about their own black brothers and sisters suffering in America
They suggest that America
cleans its own house first
Kenyans are horrified at the
police brutality in all the killings in US being swept under the rug
Both in Kenya and Ethiopia
there was the recurring theme that they felt offended, hurt and insulted by the
treatment of African Americans
This they have seen reported
They said the shootings in
America are far scarier then what is happening in Kenya
Ethiopians said they feel
they can control the violence in their own country, but in America people are
shooting each other everywhere
Ethiopians were pleased that
President Obama had raised issues on their countries human rights abuses by
their own Government…
…and its suppression of free
media and political opposition
However it was made clear
that while President Obama was trying to forge a legacy in Africa…
…there were huge issues for
Mr Obama to resolve back home!
Many countries need to look
at their own human rights issues and to sort out their own troubles…
…before preaching to others
who have similar problems
We all can do better as a
society and must do better for our children, who are our future
They have been so damaged by
adults who have their own agenda, which tends to be violent and warped
Unless we deal with violence
around the world, we breed our next generation as a damaged element
Thus we all will reap the
seeds of what we have already sown
In the US, poverty,
deprivation and exploitation draws thousands of its own children down the dark
underworld that few can opt out of
Tens of thousands of American
children are being sexually exploited every year
The FBI has found that every
night hundreds of children are sold for sex
It has now reached epidemic
proportions despite the agency having rescued 600 children last year alone
The vast majority of
children, bought and sold for sex every night in the United States, are
American children
The children are neglected,
abused, exploited and often ignored starting from a young age
They are persecuted by the
very people who should be protecting them
A handful of good souls, the
kindness of a few strangers, the good work of some law enforcement agencies and
the FBI…
…have offered relief to
America’s most vulnerable
The law enforcement agencies
tackling this situation are only just scratching the surface of one of
America’s best kept dark secrets
A support group called
Breaking Free is trying to help these sex workers break free from their
situations
They have found children
being sold into the slave sex market from as young as 14 years old
Slowly these agencies are
saving these sorrowful children and with rehabilitation bringing them back to
some kind of a life
They will have a long way to
go!
Until society starts to deal
with this crisis situation nothing really tangible will ever change
The situation needs to be
constantly highlighted and for resources to be put to valuable use to end this
outrageous scandal
The Slavery Act was abolished
in the 19th Century only to be replaced by modern day sex slavery of
children
Can we, as human beings, rest
easy knowing that innocent children are continually being raped while we sleep?
What kind of human beings are
we?
There has been the tragedy of
a person found dead, while trying to reach England through the Eurotunnel
The male was aged between 25
and 30 years old. He was hit by a lorry in the tunnel
On Monday evening some 2,000
migrants tried to enter the terminal at Calais causing serious delays to the
Eurotunnel train services
“Monday’s attempt was the biggest incursion effort in the past
month and a half,” said a Eurotunnel spokesman
The security staff number
some 200 people battling the deadly efforts of migrants, who try to smuggle
themselves into Britain
Police were called in to
assist and arrests were made
Prime Minister David Cameron
is trying everything possible to prevent these incidents occurring
A fence is being erected
along a 1.2 mile stretch at a cost of £7m and has nearly been completed
The fence is part of the
effort to create a secure zone to protect UK bound lorries from migrants
They damage the lorries by
breaking in, stealing the produce as well as stowing away
Before migrants would stow
away on trucks that go on ferries across the Channel
Now they are trying to
smuggle themselves through the undersea tunnel
The Eurotunnel Company is
seeking $10.67m from the British & French Governments in compensation for
disruption caused by these migrants
Last year there were 800
migrants living in makeshift housing in Calais
Today there are thought to be
5,000 people coming from Syria, Libya and Sudan and Eritrea
This year there were 19,000
attempts to cross the Channel, double last year’s figures
So far Eurotunnel personnel
have intercepted about 37,000 migrant attempts to get into the UK since January
this year
As always Britain is seen as
a soft touch with the handouts of Social Security payments
Migrants entering into the UK
illegally find jobs through the black market
This way they get away with
never paying tax or contributing to British society
With Britain already
suffering with the overflow of people coming in to the country, amenities are
already stretched beyond their limits
The jobs are not there,
hospitals are stretched near to breaking point and education does not have the
facilities
There are not enough places
for British children, never mind any extras
Unless the Government takes
drastic measures there will be riots on the streets, which would be
unimaginable
At the present time lorry
drivers trying to earn a living are being prevented from getting across the
Channel due to the migrant situation
They face daily harassment
and many hours stuck in a lorry jam with no end in sight
They have no water or
sanitary conditions and are afraid to leave their vehicles unattended for fear
of breakage
These lorry drivers have to
stay put for over eleven hours without sleep or amenities
Local roads around the Dover
area are congested due to this situation & the entire problem is well out
of hand – many people are suffering
The British and French Governments
have to work with the Governments abroad and return these people to their home
of origin
A worldwide structure has to
be found, whereby Governments abroad will be fined for the lack of provisions
for their own fellow countrymen
A few migrants can be
incorporated within European societies, but it cannot sustain tens of thousands
coming in continuously
There will be a breaking
point soon enough
More than 1,000 technical
scientists and researchers have written a letter warning about the dangers of
autonomous weapons
Among the signatories are
scientist Professor Stephen Hawking, entrepreneur Elon Musk and Apple
co-founder Steve Wozniak
Human Rights Watch are
seeking rules against “killer robots” that regulate specific weapons, classes
of weapons and their systems
Clearpath Robotics
manufacture the technology
They say they have to
consider their clients, which include the Canadian and US militaries
Once Clearpath hands over
their robotic technology to these Governments, they no longer have control over
how the technology is used
Clearpath Robotics announced
that they would take a stand against killer robots
To the people against killer
robots the signatures of the letter support you!
Clearpath are deeply
concerned that robots killing humans will be a potential threat
These weapons can make lethal
decisions without human involvement
What would happen if
countries took a step beyond remote-controlled drones and used weapons that
targeted and killed people on their own?
Who then becomes responsible
if weapons made a fatal mistake and who could then be punished? The answer is
clearly no one!
The UK is supporting an
international ban on so called “killer robots” at a UN conference
These killer robots are
officially termed Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS)
The concern here is that
increased computing power will eventually enable drones and other machines to
select targets
They will carry out attacks
without direct human intervention
A campaign to stop killer
robots by concerned scientists is calling for an international prohibition on
fully autonomous weapons
Blinding laser weapons were
pre-emptively outlawed in 1995
Combatant nations since 2008
have been required to remove cluster bombs
These killer robots are being
developed already in many countries
It is the robots’ use of
force, which will undermine the legal and moral principle that it is people…
…who should be held to account
for any wrong doings. This will not apply to robots
It is the weapons that will
decide who should be killed and who should not be
Killer robots would not
comply to protect civilians in an armed conflict – all would die
The concern here is the risk
these weapons would take in the hands of rogue states and non-state armed
groups. Anarchy would transpire
No one would be legally
responsible for the actions of a fully autonomous weapon
Once these weapons enter the
world market, countries would be tempted to use them inappropriately
As has been the case with the
widely condemned cluster munitions
The best solution is a ban on
the development and production of these autonomous weapons
At this time no Government
wants to be seen as pro-killer robots
‘Do as I say, not do as I
do’ is the question being asked here of Lord
Sewel?
The disgraced House of Lords
peer, who was responsible for overseeing standards of behaviour, was caught on
camera
He was snorting cocaine
during romps with prostitutes
Lord Sewel, who was a former
ally of Tony Blair, was caught on video telling prostitutes “I just want to be led astray”
As he was being filmed he
said to his escorts that his behaviour was disgusting
Lord Sewel has now quit as
Chairman of the Lord’s Privileges & Conduct Committee, the body that
upholds standards and behaviour among peers
He has also been complaining
he struggles to afford £1,000 a month rent on his flat in London, where the sex
parties take place
Asked about his expenses, he
states he gets an allowance of £200
Lord Sewel earns £84,525, as
Chairman of Committees in the Lords
Lord Sewel could be the first
peer to be permanently expelled from the House of Commons
This would be under the new
rules unveiled by himself earlier this month
Stronger sanctions
implemented from 15th July means peers can be suspended for any
length of time
This is not just until the
end of Parliament, but could be expelled permanently as well
Even if he has sanctions
against him, Lord Sewel could still attend Parliament and qualify for the £300
daily rate
Members just need to turn up
and claim their allowance
Of peers suspended for their
behaviour, a total of 10 members have been suspended since 2009, but have been
allowed back into Parliament
After their suspension, they
can start claiming their tax-free allowance again
Among those who have been
allowed back is Baroness Manzilia Pole Uddin
She was suspended after being
caught in a £125,000 expenses scandal, but was allowed back after repaying the
money
Lord Hanningfield was banned
after he clocked into the Commons for just 40 minutes and claimed the daily
rate
Now Lord Sewel has been
exposed snorting cocaine with prostitutes and could also be allowed back into
Parliament
The new powers being imposed,
state that Members must always act on their personal honour, has now been
reinforced
Anyone found in breach of
this code, through these new powers, will be able to expel members
The Members’ Code will now be
investigated by the Independent House of Lords Commissioner of Standards
This Commissioner can also
launch an investigation into Members conduct
What the public need to be
asking is do they want these types of thieves, degenerates and cheats in charge
and able to hold office?
They are all in a position of
trust and power and should represent an acceptable level of behaviour
The situation in the House of
Lords with this further debacle is now a laughing stock
Strict measures should be
taken to clear up this mess once and for all
Until expulsion forever is achieved,
the House of Lords does not reflect what society expects of our peers
Perhaps this Institution
should be closed down?
Until Mankind can start to
live together, they must begin to trust each other first
The entire world appears to
be at each other’s throats, too many people are fearful and angry and no one
loves anyone anymore
There needs to be a
breakthrough in communications, where what one says must be put into practice
until trust becomes the norm
This is not just an
expression by which one gains over another
We are a divided world, all
looking to live in peace and harmony
It is those whose ideas of
hatred and revenge that hold others to ransom until the debt of pain is
extinguished
The entire world is in pain,
in suffering and it is high time that we learned to put our agendas aside
We must look to what needs to
be done to build bridges and trust for a safer more secure life
Until anger, deceit and
corruption are dealt with by positive ways of allowing the common man to find
his own way…
…to see how man on man can
start to sort out their differences, nothing will ever change
Respect is the thing that has
left this world, no one loves another anymore
Respect for the lands we live
on and the animals that co-exist on these lands must be considered also
Mankind has made too many
mistakes
Their insatiable appetite for
greed and colonisation has caused abject misery to millions around the world
This is without even thinking
what they have done or that they even care
Until Mankind starts to learn
from his mistakes and takes a different approach to communicate and heal their
differences…
…with respect being at the
heart of all communication, then nothing will ever be achieved
The great powers of this
world are now losing their influence and it is their own people who will stand
up to call them to account
A new wave of confrontation
through diplomacy will be achieved & the great powers will have no choice,
but to listen to their own people
The people will not allow for
governing officials to extend their egos & to fill their own intentions
which are not right and honourable
Right intentions bring in
right action and this is the only way that man can learn
It all has to be for the
Greater Good, not for the greedy disruptive few!
Is the world surprised that
Israel is up to its dirty tricks once again?
The village of Susiya, home
to some 350 people, is the focus of an international campaign to save these
Palestinians
They are being threatened
with removal from their homes for the third time in three decades
The campaign has drawn in
European diplomats, the US State Department and pro-Palestinian activists
These families live in tents
and caves. These villagers live a simple life as they have no choice
They are not connected to
electricity or water supplies, because the Israeli’s do not allow it
A few decades ago these
villagers lived in stone structured buildings over ancient caves
This was on a hilltop one
kilometre from where they are today
The village “old Susiya” was
bulldozed/destroyed by Israelis in 1986
Their town’s mosque was
dismantled to uncover an ancient synagogue
Old Susiya is now
administered by Israeli settlements and has been converted into a tourist
attraction
For the third time in three
decades these villagers are facing another threat of forced displacement
Israel wants to continue its
programme of constructing settlements which are illegal by International Law
In May, the Israeli High
Court denied a Palestinian request for an injunction to stop Israel’s plans to
destroy their homes
The villages have their deeds
to the land going back to the Ottoman era
In spite of this, the Israeli
authorities say their structures were built without the necessary permits
It is any excuse for Israel
to continue its ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, who they hate with a
vengeance
The Palestinians are being
squeezed by Israeli settlements in the occupied territories
These are illegal by
International Law and the ruins are of an ancient synagogue found in the 1970s
Now the Israeli human rights
group B’tselem and foreign activists are camping out in Susiya around the clock
They are going to try and
prevent the demolition orders from being carried out
There is also diplomatic
pressure against the demolition
The US State Department
spokesman John Kirby has said that any demolition or eviction would be harmful
and provocative
This is exactly what Israel
wants – provocation. Any excuse to give them a reason to destroy Palestinians
would play nicely into their hands
European Union Foreign
Ministers have issued a strongly worded statement
They are urging Israel to
abandon their plans for a forced transfer of population and demolition
It is the European donations
that have sustained Susiya village so far
In spite of that these people
live daily without electricity and water supplies
If the world thinks and we
mean the US, Europe together with other areas of the world that Israel will in
any way shy away…
…from what they feel is their
right, then think again
As usual Israel will act with
impunity thinking their God-given right gives them that right to transgress
always
They continue to get away
literally with murder, as the world looks on and does nothing!
We all should hang our heads
in shame, as we continue to allow Israel to get away with their destructive
enforcement of ethnic cleansing
Their crimes against humanity
are an embarrassment to world Governments, who just continue to sit on their
hands and do nothing
History will judge us all and
our legacy to our children was that we continued to be intimidated…
…by a regime that is the
bully boy of this world and we did nothing to save Palestinians
America does not have
friends, it has only interests. That is why they also do nothing
They allow their friend
Israel to invoke carnage, while they turn a blind eye to all these events
History will judge them the
more harshly for it!
Thailand’s state prosecutors
are pressing charges against more than 100 people including an army general
A multinational human
trafficking scandal has come to light after dozens of bodies were discovered in
the south of the country
This situation has been going
on for years, but has only now come to light due to many multiple mass graves
being discovered
Through International
pressure something finally is being done about it
Ninety-one Thais, nine
Burmese nationals and four Bangladeshis face sixteen charges including human
trafficking
They took part in a
transnational crime network to bring in aliens into the kingdom illegally
There was corruption, where
so many had a seat at the table
Only the lower ranking few
have been arrested so far and the major top leaders still remain free
This investigation has shown
just how big the syndicate was
The extensive networks
brought in the migrants into the country systematically
International pressure has
intensified on Thailand to crack down on these people smugglers
Those who have been arrested
include politicians, government officials, police and a senior-ranking army
officer
These camps are part of a
complex of bases, stretching into Thailand on a well-established route to
smuggle mostly Rohingya people
In these jungle camps
brutality was inflicted on these people. Where families could not pay £1000 for
their release, they were later killed
Anti-trafficking groups have
said they are not surprised that the spotlight in now being focussed on
Malaysia
Malaysia has been listed as
tier three by the US State Department’s Annual Human Trafficking Report
This is the worst ranking by
a country which fails to stop doing this trade
The only way these kinds of
camps could operate was with the support of the military, police and
politicians
They were directly involved
or paid to look the other way
It is now necessary for
Malaysia and Thailand to demonstrate the political will to act
They have to be seen to
become accountable to all those involved regardless of rank or status
It is also up to the
International community to keep up the pressure to bring Malaysia and Thailand
to put their countries in order
The lucrative funds obtained
by the traffickers should be given to those who have lost loved ones as
compensation for these heinous crimes
If not, then the Malaysian
and Thai Governments must see that retribution is carried out
Otherwise they are just as
guilty as the traffickers themselves for condoning these actions
Nobody gets away with
anything in this life!
It does not matter how many
years it takes, justice will always find a way to get to the perpetrators of
these crimes!
The world now recognises that
there are ways of expressing disapproval
They can do this with
countries that are not seen as part of the global community for decency and
fairness
The act was set up by the
anti-apartheid campaigners, who worked to bring down white minority rule in
South Africa
The world was persuaded not
to play sport against the South African teams
This the South Africans
hated. There was a follow up of boycotting Cape fruit and wines
The boycott caused serious
ramifications to South Africa’s political systems
It sent out a serious message
that South Africa was not part of the global family of decent, developed
nations
This economic isolation
increased the pressure on South Africa to change
No longer could they continue
to remain in the wilderness of isolation
Now in recent years
supporters of the Palestinian cause around the world have been putting similar
pressure on Israel
Michael Deas, campaigns
director of the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) National
Committee in London…
…clearly believes that the
tide is now running their way
There is a growing fear
inside of Israel that it is facing international isolation of the kind South
Africa faced
This pressure over these last
ten years is forcing many ordinary Israelis to question
Is Israeli colonialism
sustainable in its long-term form?
France’s infrastructure
company, Veolia, have disinvested from the Israeli market
European tax payers asked
their councils not to invest in Veolia
They did this because it
operated in Israeli settlements built on captured land in the war of 1967
Those settlements are illegal
under International Law and are needed for the re-construction of a Palestinian
state
Veolia sold its business in
Israel
It is now realised that this
is a win for Palestinians by pressure from people who disagree with Israeli
methods
Some groups opposing Israeli
settlements are targeting Israeli companies that export their fruit and
vegetables that are grown there
Michael Deas believes this
does not go far enough and is asking for the boycotting of all Israeli products
European countries, South
American and South African markets are also boycotting Israeli produce
This will continue to grow
and even a boycott of Jewish department stores around the world, where their
profits go into funding Israel
We have predicted some time
ago that Israel will be side-lined and isolated
This is becoming more
evidential in so many directions
Even the USA is holding back
with supporting Israel and will no longer put up with its aggressive behaviour
In other words Israel has
become an irritant to the world
This will be felt by Jews
from around the world, who will feel the backlash of Israel’s intransigence
Over the past decade
conflicts in the Middle East have taken a huge toll on human life
Those people, who survived
the bombs and bullets, can be left with incredible complex injuries
Their country’s beleaguered
health care systems are in no position to treat them
In Amman, Jordan, the
international medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) runs the region’s
only specialist hospital
They provide reconstruction
surgery for the victims of war
The hospital’s treatment of
rehabilitation for the people with severe and complex injuries is all free
It is the only hospital in
the world dedicated to carrying out these highly sophisticated procedures
The treatment is facial
reconstruction, microsurgery and tissue expansion for survivors of the war
Around 630,000 refugees from
Syria alone are registered living in Jordan
They make up nearly 10% of
Jordan’s total population
Since 2006 more than 3,700
patients have come from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Libya and the occupied West
Bank
They come to this hospital
with complex war injuries
Patients are referred to this
hospital by frontline medics from across Jordan and the wider region
These patients are accepted
for their disability and on the hospital’s ability to treat them
It is the dedication and the
will of these amazing lifesaving doctors and nurses
They allow thousands of
injured people to resurrect their lives
Always more funds are needed
to help survivors medically
It is the psychological
damage which takes a lifetime to recover from
It is the politicians of this
world, who have to take a global responsibility where wars are concerned
There needs to be more
diplomatic solutions and where the law comes in to stop these atrocities
Mindless, futile wars are the
scourge of Mankind
The Bush/Blair scenario of scaremongering
regarding weapons of mass destruction, which were never found, is to their
detriment
Their lies have found them
out!
When both leaders sold their
countries down the river, they should be held accountable
They are responsible for the
heinous crimes against humanity that we are now witnessing
The Middle East is in the
mess it is in, partly due to their egotistical ways
They both have blood on their
hands and will have to account for this at some time!
Professor Stephen Hawking has
launched a new effort to answer the question of whether there is life elsewhere
in space
This venture is the largest
ever conducted to listen for broadcast signals from the millions of the stars
closest to the Earth
A £64 million initiative will
be launched by the Breakthrough Initiatives group at the Royal Society of
London
Professor Hawking has stated,
“Somewhere in the cosmos, perhaps,
intelligent life may be watching these lights of ours”
“We need to search for life beyond Earth”
This scientific venture will
search for signs of intelligent life beyond our Earth
It will see 10 times more of
the sky then on previous programmes and scan five times more radio spectrum,
100 times faster
The two most powerful
telescopes, which will be involved, are the Green Bank Telescope in West
Virginia…
…and the other is the Parkes
Telescope in New South Wales, Australia
Scientific research has
explained about the light that stars emit
But what has not been found
out are the lights that shine from the planet Earth
To understand these lights
Professor Hawking states you must know about life – about the minds
When we are created by the
Higher Intelligence we are all formed as light beings, which travel down to the
Earth’s atmosphere
We are embedded in the female
host to await fertilisation
As people, we continue to be
light forms getting on with our daily lives
When it is our time to pass,
our indestructible light forms leave our physical bodies to travel back to the
source of all creation
We resume our lives there as
light beings
This is common knowledge if
you understand quantum mechanics and how our light force goes everywhere with
us
We are all atoms and we move
about freely without our physical body
We are the light of the mind
and reflect a fraction of the whole light force, which created us and
everything that ever lives
These intelligent light forms
are everywhere and one does not need to search a million miles away to find
them
They are all close by, but in
a different dimension interacting with us on a different frequency
We just have to tune in to
see and accept them
Scientists around the world
have seen them, yet say nothing for fear of ridicule
The day is now approaching
when science is ready to take that plunge & acknowledge that light force
intelligence is what created everything
It is out there for us to
explore when we are ready and have an open mind?
Communication with light
beings is simpler than it seems!
Taiwan is poised to elect its
first female leader
The two main political
parties have nominated women in next January’s Presidential Elections
Hung Hsiu-chu 67 is a former
teacher and has a fiery style. She is known as “Little Hot Pepper”
She was selected on Sunday as
the candidate for the ruling Nationalist Party (KMT)
Hung will compete against
Tsai Ing-wen 58 the candidate for the opposition Democratic Progressive Party
(DPP)
Tsai is already the party’s
chairwoman
She is a trained lawyer who
studied at The London School of Economics before forging ahead with a career in
politics back home
The battle between the two
women will bring forth a new understanding of true democracy
Hung has a mountain to climb
if she is to win over enough votes to self-rule this island of 18 million
voters to defeat Tsai
It was Tsai who narrowly lost
the 2012 election
Tsai Ing-wen is the front
runner and she is ahead of all the polls so far
Hung’s KMT party has ruled
Taiwan since 2008 and badly lost in last November’s local elections
China’s Communist leaders
view Taiwan as a renegade province that should be re-unified with mainland
China
It is the Taiwanese people
who have a growing unease with China
They are not happy with the
way China has handled their hard-line response to the prodemocracy movement
demonstrations in Hong Kong
Since 2012, public opinion
has now become more cautious about the risks on integration with China
What is so wonderful right
now is that Taiwan has become the latest in a series of nations wanting to
elect female leaders
They follow Thailand, the
Philippines and South Korea
China on the other hand has
not a single woman in the Communist party’s elite
Taiwan has two female
Presidential candidates, which shows the role of women in Taiwanese politics
They also have more female
legislators
This has occurred as a
gradual process over two and a half decades since democratisation
Together with a strong
woman’s movement being one factor and a well-educated population with
favourable institutions
Women no longer see politics
as a barrier
They are able to forge ahead
where they feel the need is there for them to voice their opinions
If more women were able to
enter politics, there would be less wars and less mismanagement of nations
They are, after all, the
basis for all life and should be considered as such!
The situation in Iran over
its sanctions and the relief that now comes from the deal on their nuclear
agenda by the P5+1 Agreement means…
…Iran can become a world
power again
Suppression by US sanctions
and the cloak and dagger approach by Israel to quash all deals concerning Iran
are now being limited
Although Israel will try to
fight the Vienna Agreement in Congress, it will fail substantially
America and the Middle East
needs stability
They need a power that is
able to sort out the American mess, which America can no longer do
America is tired of war and
its policies have brought disorder and chaos, not only to the Middle East, but
to the world at large
America needs Iran as never
before to build up new policies with its neighbours and to find out a legal way
to oust out IS
It is no longer a question of
fighting IS on the ground, they are too powerful just now
It is necessary for the Arab
States to put behind them their fears and to put together a collaboration to
deal with IS on their terms
Israel will see themselves
further isolated and where they feel they hold all the cards on their terms
Slowly they will see those
slipping away from them
Israel, the bad man in this
pack of thieves, will have to humble itself
On their knees to a different
dictate over and above their own, which they have enjoyed for decades
The American people will ask
for results from the Iran deal and, where Obama has the momentum, they will see
sense
The people will continue
questioning until Congress has to put down its guns and seen sense
Iran is needed to broker
deals with the Saudis in order for a more positive move to embrace stability in
the region
This is no longer about Shias
against Sunnis, but about common sense becoming the bigger picture here
A new dialogue, which will
incorporate Iraq at the centre of negotiations…
…will establish a drive
through operation to deal with extremists as never before
Turkish Kurds will also be in
attendance, as their forces have already taken more of the force
They know what needs to be
done to deal with this common enemy, IS
America needs to understand
the backlash that they have caused by recruiting IS in the first place
They now reap what they have
sown and so must now place their support in Iran to save the day
Not only for the Middle East,
but for the world at large
Israel will remain on the
backburner and they won’t be consulted in any form of negotiations
They too have done enough
damage in the Middle East by their own agendas and so they will be silenced whether
they like it or not!
See Saudi Arabia deal
tactically with Iran on a number of strategic issues and where their
disagreements will not be an issue
But where the greater cause
will be instead!
The art of Social Media shows
that nobody can get away with anything anymore
In this case a Cambodian
property tycoon has been exposed for assaulting a well-known Cambodian actress
Sok Bun has appeared in court
after the actress posted a video of her attack online
The CCTV footage taken at the
time of the assault on Ek Socheata, better known as SaSa, on the video in the
capital Phnom Penh
Sok Bun, 37 years old,
returned to Cambodia from Singapore, where he had fled
Violence against women in
Cambodia is commonplace, but when the people were shown the exposure of the
attack it sparked outrage
Sok Bun was arrested at Phnom
Penh’s airport by Cambodia’s Prime Minister, who called for his arrest
He stated, “Don’t think because you have money, you can
escape. What you have done is
intolerable”
The video footage shows SaSa
being dragged off a chair onto the floor of a Japanese restaurant
She was then kicked in the
head & as she tried to get up she was punched & stamped on. All this
continued for over a minute
There was a point when Mr
Bun’s bodyguard pointed a gun at SaSa’s head as the attack continued
Finally a restaurant worker
pulls off her attacker
It was the restaurant who
gave SaSa the video and then she later posted it on her Facebook page, her
black eye visibly shown
Mr Bun pulled SaSa’s hair and
smashed her head against the floor
SaSa said she was simply
protecting her friend against the unwanted advances of Sok Bun
The bodyguard has been
charged with attempted murder, as he pulled the trigger of his gun at SaSa’s
head
But the trigger failed to
discharge. He is still at large
Cambodia’s Prime Minister
issued the arrest and if Sok Bun is found guilty he could face up to five years
in prison
As more exposure to these
types of crimes becomes relevant it begins to show that those who commit them
can no longer hide behind innocence
The truth must expose these
thugs whose will they subject on others, simply because they feel they can
Justice is finally catching
them in the act
There is to be an agreement between
rich and poor countries
It is for an overhaul of
global finance, for international development and the release of money to end
global poverty
It was the United Nations who
has announced the deal, which follows negotiations at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia
This deal is to finance new
Sustainable Development Goals
They will target and protect
the environment and improve economic opportunity by 2030
This agreement is a critical
step-forward in building sustainable futures for all
There is a need to revitalise
global partnerships for sustainable development, so that nobody can be left
behind
There have been seventeen
development goals that have been agreed, which include ending poverty and
hunger
It also ensures that quality
education is there for all and achieving gender equality and making cities safe
These goals will see
developing nations generating more domestic tax revenues to finance their own
development agendas
They will not need to rely on
foreign aid all the time
The developing countries will
start to push ahead with important measures to improve tax collection
They will also combat tax
evasion as well as money-laundering
It has to be a joint venture,
where all those who take part are able to support each other
This will allow sustainable
growth and the outcome is always possible
However the rich only get
richer
It is now up to the poorer
countries to start to deal with corruption, so that a fairer society for all is
started and maintained
Always where there is a will
there is a way, but it has to be with the right intention always
President Obama needs the
deal with Iran to work, so that he can hope to control a volatile situation in
the Middle East
Iran for all its faults is a
stable nation with a stable Government, apart from the crippling sanctions
They are able to look after
their people
Iran has a stability, which
is not found in the Middle East today
America can do no more for
the Middle East. They are out of their depth
America has created untold
problems without working out a long-term strategy for the unification of Arab
lands and their peoples
This destruction has caused
untold misery with brother Muslim fighting Muslim brother and where nobody wins
or gains overall control
America has caused this
untold misery and they are fully responsible for instigating IS warfare, armed
and trained in Jordan by the CIA
These IS guerrillas
infiltrated from Lebanon and into Syria and now into Iraq
America is reaping the
rewards of their destructive ways and policies
They have lost control
completely of the entire Middle East, which is in the mess caused by their hand
in all of this
America has no concept or
understanding of how the Middle East works
They don’t understand how
Arabs think and function and their right to govern their own people
This may not be as America
lives and acts, but must be considered as their right to do so
America has no right to go in
& disrupt these nations into their way of thinking just because they feel
they can & for their greed for oil
They are now reaping the
results of their actions
America needs a stable ally
and Iran could well be that political stabilising influence, which the US needs
right now
This nuclear deal has to be
forged ahead to bring about stability in this highly volatile region
Iran has the knowhow to do
just that and can bring in another voice to the table that is no longer
one-sided by Saudi Arabia and Israel
It is time that through
diplomatic channels constructive discussions are formed with contingency plans
that will satisfy all
That means the 5+1 and Iran
have a better grounding for peace in a damaged area, which can now start to
materialise
Israel has nuclear weapons,
given to them from France
So does India and Pakistan,
UK, France, Russia and of course China. North Korea is developing theirs as
well
Nowhere in the world is safe
any longer and if you think otherwise, then you are all naïve and should wake
up
There needs to be some
inroads into the Middle East and for an easing up of sanctions for Iran
To bring Iran in as an ally
on diplomatic agendas, will allow for a stabilising of the Middle East crisis
It will allow them to help
out regarding IS and so bring more solutions into the game plan
These talks are more than
just Iran having nuclear capabilities
It means another nation to
consult with what feels more of an ally as opposed to more of an evil regime
Dubai is a city, which
quietly tolerates other faiths
The rulers of Dubai have
ensured that people of different faiths are able to worship in Dubai
Dubai has a Roman Catholic
Church of St Mary
In 1966, the year oil was
discovered, Sheikh Rashid donated a piece of land to a Roman Catholic mission
The city has since grown up
around it and St Mary’s now stands beside a four lane busy road in the centre
of Dubai
Sunday is a busy day in
Dubai, so Mass is conducted on Fridays. For many this is their only day off
Churches including St Mary’s
hold dozens of services in English, Arabic and the languages of Tagalog to
Malayalam
Father Connully says Catholics
come mainly from India and the Philippines. He gets around 7,000 people for
Friday Mass
Dubai’s current ruler
permitted a Hindu temple to be built, so that thousands of Hindus and Sikhs can
worship
As one moves around Dubai
there is no evidence of any religion other than Islam
Churches are not allowed to
display crosses or preach publicly or try to persuade Muslims to convert
That would incorporate a jail
sentence and deportation
All this is accepted, for it
is the freedom for private worship that is so important here
Dubai has a multi-cultural
aspect and it gives people the respect and courtesy to worship in peace
It clearly works and shows
that people of different faiths can live and work alongside each other in peace
and harmony
One must always respect the
values of the host nation for this to happen
Dubai can be an example to
the rest of the world
They know that there is
nothing to fear when different faiths are able to worshiped on the same day
The Srebrenica massacre, also
known as the Srebrenica genocide, was the genocidal killing in July 1995 of
more than 8,000 Bosniaks
They were mainly men and boys
This all happened around the
town of Srebrenica during the Bosnian War
The killing was done by units
of the Army of Republika Srpska
Their commander was General
Ratko Mladic, who is in The Hague for war crimes
The Secretary General of the
United Nations described the mass murder as the worst crime on European soil
since the Second World War
A paramilitary unit from
Serbia participated in the massacre
In 2004 a unanimous ruling by
the International Criminal Tribunal of the former Yugoslavia located in The
Hague ruled this was a massacre
The massacre of the male
inhabitants constituted genocide, a crime under International Law
This ruling was upheld by the
International Court of Justice in 2007
There was also a forcible
transfer of 25,000–30,000 Bosniak women, children and the elderly, which
accompanied the massacre
In July 2012, some 6,838
genocide victims have been identified by DNA analysis on body parts
These have now been recovered
and put into mass graves
In July 2013, some 6,066
victims have now been buried at the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial Centre and
Cemetery
Russia has recently vetoed a
UN resolution stating it was genocide
However Members of the
European Parliament and the House of Representatives of the US Congress
unanimously have adopted its resolution
This was to adopt this crime
in Srebrenica to be defined as genocide
Until the Serbian Prime
Minister comes to terms with what has happened by his own countrymen in these
horrific crimes…
…there can be no healing
established in this country
The Serbian Government has to
admit that it was a genocide, however harsh that might seem to them
The truth is there continuously
in their faces
Some twenty years down the
road nothing much has changed to alleviate the sufferings of these Bosniak
people
Fourteen individuals have
already been convicted at a UN Tribunal in The Hague in relations to these
killings
Ratko Mladic and a former
Bosnian Serb army Chief Radovan Karadzic are on trial for these massacres
Until proper justice is being
seen to be done, nothing can eradicate the stain of their crimes from their
hands and from their history!
Why is the US losing its
credibility in today’s world?
The world is upside down just
now
The US’s situation with its
constant meddling and interest driven aspects, do not hold up well with other
countries around the world
If the US wants credibility
again, which it is at present losing, then it needs to get engaged
This means it needs to sort
out its foreign policies
It has to re-structure and
deal with problems head on instead of pussyfooting around doing just a bit here
and a bit there
The United States of America
are getting nowhere
The world in general has lost
respect for America and this is ever increasing
It will not go away until
America deals with the important issues it set itself out to do
America has failed in
Afghanistan with the Taliban
A mindless exercise and
increased opium production to the world bringing in abject misery to millions
The unlawful Iraq War was
fuelled by a maniac, whose objective was oil
The results have been untold
misery that the US are now reaping
IS is hitting back on the
useless strategies by US’s puppet controlled politicians
America supports an ongoing
situation in Palestine, because they continually defend a dictatorial situation
and an open concentration camp
Their record in dealing with
strategies that have no proper outcome is monstrous as far as the world can see
They continue to raise havoc
everywhere
All America sees and does is
for their own interests and not for the interests of the world at large
Winston Churchill went in to
fight a war against a dictatorship regime
Do not think it was only
because America entered in that the war was won
It was with the extensive
help of Russia fighting with the allies that defeated the problem
The job was done for the
greater good and with much co-operation and strategy the war was won
It is high time that America
grew up and stopped thinking of themselves as a superpower
That situation is now
subsiding and there are other players, who can unite if necessary to sort out
other solutions
America no longer controls
with the big stick. It has failed the world in so many ways and brought about
abject destruction and misery
The reasons for this are that
they have not thought out all the consequences of their actions and so must now
pay the price for failure
America is also in hock to
China for trillions due to the Iraq War – again not thinking with their heads,
but with their egos all the time
Respect needs to be gained by
doing the right thing for all and not just for the interests of America
Take a leaf out of history
and learn from those who knew better
Winston Churchill is a prime
example. He put his neck on the line and saw the job through
He is respected throughout
history as a great leader
Another great leader was
Mikhail Gorbachev, who was the first President of the Soviet Union
He was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize for his leadership in ending the Cold War and promoting peaceful
international relations
Others in this world should
follow the examples of these great leaders
They knew what their
responsibilities were and dealt with them head on!
The unusual situation of
Kenya’s new Central Bank Governor is that he has rejected the grand house that
comes with his prestigious job
This is a rare move indeed,
especially in a country that is rife with corruption
Patrick Njoroge is a member
of the Catholic group Opus Dei and appears to be on a different planet to the
rest of his colleagues
Mr Njoroge is being
challenged by his preference of a simple life
Kenyans are used to their
senior government officials leading lavished lifestyles
Mr Njoroge has decided to
live in Nairobi’s Loresho Estate instead of the luxurious Muthaiga Estate
This is where officials drive
around in Range Rovers or Mercedes Benz accompanied by security cars
Mr Njoroge will live with his
Roman Catholic Opus Dei organisation. Opus Dei means ‘work of God’
Members of Opus Dei aim to
live their lives with humility, justice, integrity and solidarity
They work hard dealing with
honesty and fairness
Opus Dei states that in God’s
eyes what matters is the love that people put into their work, not in its
success in terms of money or fame
When Mr Njoroge was vetted
for the job by MP’s for the Governor’s position, they were surprised he did not
own any property in Kenya
Patrick Njoroge’s life reveals
a rare and unique quality that is so far removed from the corruption that is
endemic in Kenya today
His colleagues are equally
taken by him and say he is devoid of ego and is instinctively averse to any
self-advertisement
Having got the right credentials,
it is now hoped he can be an example to higher officials, who wish to exploit
their roles in office!
Today is the anniversary of
Israel’s ‘Operation: Protective Edge’
It raised havoc across Gaza
killing over 2,200 Palestinians and injured another 11,000 people
This war caused unprecedented
damage to Gaza’s healthcare sector
Twelve months on, this
scandal continues and not one of the 19,000 homes that were destroyed or
severely damaged have been rebuilt
There are over 100,000 people
still who remain homeless
In Gaza things can be done.
The humanitarian situation has been sacrificed by the political logjam
This further breeds contempt
and so conflict in the future becomes inevitable
It is the failure by the
politicians to realise their humanitarian responsibilities, which is so
shocking and disgraceful
The Israeli Defence Minister
Moshe Ya’alon stated in June that there was no humanitarian distress in Gaza
As always these lies are
given out as if they are of no count
It is the doctors on the
ground in Gaza that are treating the Gazan people, who will testify to the
contrary
These doctors that work for
the World Health Organisation are in a position to voice the truth in these
matters as they see them
They have nothing to gain
It is these doctors working
on the ground, who continue to state that Gaza has failed to recover from the
latest devastation
As a result it continues to
drain away any hope for a better future for the people
Surgeons still have to
operate by the light from their mobile phones due to the continuing power cuts
At this time 30% of essential
medicines are at zero stock
Patients are being denied
permission to travel for life saving assistance
These are the daily battles
which face the Gazan people
Some 60% of Gaza’s young
people are unemployed
Tens of thousands of public
sector workers have not been paid for months
120,000 Palestinians are not
connected to a water network, which still has not been repaired, after damage
caused by missiles
The Gaza Reconstruction
Mechanism (GRM) was designed to facilitate the essential construction materials
needed
These materials are cement,
aggregate and reinforced steel bars
These vital construction
materials are not getting through in any kind of sufficient quantity
The GRM depends on the UN
& the Palestinian Authority to take effective measures &
responsibilities for the proper use of these materials
As always it is the civilians
in Gaza, who are paying the price for political failures
The international community
should not base the opening of Gaza to humanitarian aid on the basis that there
is a political resolution first
Opening up the boarders so
that adequate supplies of essential needs together with the freedom for
patients to attend medical help…
…are not unrealistic asks,
yet these continue to be obstructed
It has to be down to the UN,
as the leader of Gaza’s humanitarian aid & recovery, to deal with this over
& above dysfunctional politics
When will the people of the
world react to prevent further suffering to the people who live in an open
concentration camp with no respite?
Do we, as Mankind, ever have
a conscience to allow these atrocities to continue and do absolutely nothing?
The UN should be ashamed of
themselves!
Prayers in the boardroom are
used before making important decisions, this is happening in a Chinese real
estate giant Tentimes Group
Three-quarters of the firm’s
eight strong senior management team are Christians
Their Founder and Chairman
Wang Ruoxiong became a Christian seven years ago
Wang Ruoxiong says when the
company has to make a difficult decision they turn to the Bible for guidance
He further states that God
controls everything and that he is merely the housekeeper of Jesus
It is Jesus, who assists him
in taking care of the company
He also states that his
Christian beliefs are not entirely what drives the company, as he has employees
who have technical skills
It is these skills and
following Christian values that have made the company more effective
Wang Ruoxiong says his
employees feel cared for, which make them perform better
By treating their suppliers
more fairly, it has created stronger relationships with them
It is this experience of love
that has helped this company survive despite increasing competition worldwide
Wang Ruoxiong’s senior
managers are also willing to use Christian values in their own work and life
and so their values get passed down
This leads to shared values
with their employees and then towards the entire company, making the company
truly irreplaceable
It is certainly rare to hear
of a company boss, who is so open about his religion at work
Organisations themselves
might make allowances for their staff to practice their religious faith
However it is rare that those
at the top are open about their beliefs
Gavin Oldham is an executive
chairman of a retail stockbroker – The Share Centre
He is an elective lay member
of the General Synod of the Church of England
He openly states this on his
website biography, as he never hides his Christian beliefs, but he does not
flash them about
He is mindful of others,
whose beliefs might differ from his own
Nevertheless he states that
his faith does guide his business life as well as his personal life. He
believes in God’s unconditional love
This he applies in his own
life
By loving ones neighbour as
yourself, it provides a structure for when Oldham needs to make difficult
business decisions
It ensures him consistency,
which allows him to make better judgements at work
There is another who shares
his values and that is Whole Foods Market co chief executive Walter Robb
He says, “Spirituality is often a charged word for people. It can be easily
replaced with love!”
Walter Robb appreciates that
love at work may seem equally inappropriate
He believes it gives a softer
approach from those at the top, as the firm is a part of worldwide
responsibilities
These can be very powerful
indeed
It has been Jenny and Michael
Ayers’ job to assist companies with help and direction from God
This has helped to turned so
many companies around
Of course this advice is
purely confidential and it is only those at the top of these companies who have
sought this advice
So they steered their
business to ever increasing success
Because this is a personal
thing, it does not mean that the advice given is reduced in anyway
It has to be those at the top
of their professions, who benefit the most
They are able to steer their
companies into unchartered waters, where the bigger benefits can come in
While the company gains so
the entire staff gains also
This is all about advice and
strategy for the Greater Good, for all the company and throughout the world
Pope Francis has arrived in
Ecuador
It is his first visit to the
Spanish-speaking part of America since becoming Pope
His message to the people is
of solidarity, especially for the poor of this region
At the same time he is trying
to rally his Church of dwindling numbers
Pope Francis has been seen as
‘the Pope of the poor’
He chose Ecuador, Bolivia and
Paraguay, as they are the poorest and most marginal nations of the region
This complete region has 40%
of the world’s Catholics
Falling world prices of oil
and minerals in Ecuador has threatened their way of life
Pope Francis will be forced
to confront issues on many sex scandals that have tainted the Church
These issues have resulted in
their dwindling numbers
As one of those sexually
abused victims has mentioned, the Church’s punishment of paedophiles is an
insult to humanity
Pope Francis is likely to
raise environmental concerns with the leaders of Bolivia
Bolivia has promoted mining
and drilling in wilderness areas
Pope Francis feels there is a
need to protect nature and the poor
It is the poor that are the
ones who suffer most when these activities are exploited
At the same time he rejects
today’s profit-at-all costs mentality in favour of the Christian view of
economic progress
This tends to respect human
rights and safeguards to the environment
Ecuador has 79% of its
population as Catholics, Bolivia has 77% and Paraguay has 89%
It is of huge interest to the
Catholic Church to maintain these numbers and therefore ensuring their own
security
There must be a more hands on
approach by the Catholic Church regarding poverty and deprivation
This can only come about when
methods of birth control are in operation
The Catholic Church needs to
take their collective responsibly in keeping their flock free from harm and
poverty
Until the Catholic Church
comes into the 21st Century themselves, they have no right to preach
to those who constantly struggle
Their bishops live a life of
luxury, which they do not deserve or have earned
There should be more giving
by the Church and not continually taking away
Until the Catholic Church
starts acting by example, as to what they preach, they will have little respect
by their congregation
That is why thousands are
leaving the Church
The world must come together
to serve the people of the world, who have nothing by those who have everything
Until social and economic
justice becomes a reality, many will continue to suffer with deprivation
Deprivation means those souls
have no roof over their heads, no running water or toilet facilities and no
access to electricity
Until the world puts aside
extremist’s behaviour, then acts of deprivation will continue to grow for
millions
We owe it to ourselves to
save humanity if we all hope to live in a stabilised sustaining world
Those that are rich can no
longer hide themselves from those who are poor
They have the responsibility
to act before the stench of depravity hits their front doors
None of us who have, can
afford to turn a blind eye to all those who suffer intense hardship and
sufferings
One day it could well be us
and so we must then ask, “Who has the
will to help us in our time of need?”
If we continue to do nothing
to help the deprived, we cannot then expect help when it is our turn to
experience that awful existence
Construction of the Inka Road
(Quechua spelling of Inca) stands as one of the monumental engineering
achievements in history
The road is a network 25,000
miles long, which crosses over mountains and tropical lowlands, rivers and
deserts
The Great Road links the
sacred city of Cusco, the administrative capital and spiritual centre of the
Inca world…
…to the farthest reaches of
its empire
This road continues today to
serve the Andean communities across Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina
and Chile
It is a sacred space and
symbol of cultural continuity
The monumental undertaking of
this road is focussed at an exhibition
It is at the Smithsonian’s
National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC “The Great Inka Road: Engineering and Empire”
At the exhibition visitors
will enjoy unusual glimpses of the roads using digital visualisation alongside
200 rare Inca objects and artefacts
The building of these roads,
built in the 15th Century, were constructed without the wheel, large
livestock or even metal tools
The roads were literally dug
into the rock faces and are linked up by 200 bridges
The roads are paved with
blocks of stone, reinforced with retaining walls, which allow for the water
from the rocks to drain through
Managing the flows of water
along the road also enabled the engineers to preserve these enormous highways
It is all due to the
superlative engineering principles that cut through some of the most extreme
terrains in the world
They are spanning rain
forests, deserts and high mountains
Today at least 500
communities still use these roads as the only pathway for communication and
also for their trading
These roads are not just
physical structures, but living roads
When talking to people who
walk the Inca Trail they say “We are never tired”
“The llamas and the donkeys
that walk the Inca Trail never get tired, because the old path has the
blessings of the Inca”
This ancient highway is also
known as the Royal Road, literally translated as “Road of the Lord.”
This road binds people of
different ethnicities across the vast Andean region
For them it is not only
special, but sacred for those who travel on it
They feel blessed and
rejuvenated all the time!
Greece’s problems are not all
their own, other countries in the Eurozone also face hardships, especially in
the southern parts of Europe
There needs to be a serious
overhaul to the European Union as a whole
Everyone knew that Greece
should not have got rid of their drachma in 2001 and adopt the euro currency
Greece was never ready to
join the Eurozone and many economists knew that, so did the Greeks themselves
and many in Brussels also
The arrogance of Eurozone
operatives wanting to establish a European super-state overrode realistic
achievements
Those driving to create this
super-state went full steam ahead and invited Athens with all their problems to
join
The European leaders decided
to turn a blind eye to fundamental weaknesses and imbalances to member state
economies
These finance ministers did
not want to see any problems and therefore did not want to deal with them
Economic policies in the
southern countries of Europe have caused a lack of growth and a lack of job
creation
This has led to economic
stagnation, which has led to enormous levels of debt
The EU is in desperate need
of reform
Something Mr Cameron, the UK’s
Prime Minister, is calling out for – he is not alone in his criticism
The EU in its present form
has now grown so big that it is like the albatross that is too big to manage
The EU interferes in all
aspects of civilian life in every EU member country
It is the economic and
political power, which has been taken away from nation countries and been
shifted to Brussels
Brussels’ decision making
bodies are not elected and are never accountable to national Governments
It is the bureaucrats in
Brussels, who have a taste for power and do not wish to relinquish it!
Many referendums on EU
treaties have been ignored and national courts overruled
The sovereignty of national
parliaments has been continuously eroded
This has caused the EU to
have grown into this organisation, which regards itself as an eventual United
States of Europe
This being the case, it will
lose its values on liberty and economic freedom
Nations once had the
opportunity for self-rule and determination
It is the actions of Brussels
with their power hungry operatives and intransigence that has led to political
and economic instability
The likes of which have not
been seen in decades
The current EU has not
created tranquillity, peace and prosperity
Instead it created
instability, disenchantment and contempt
This is occurring right
across Europe, as Greece is today. They are not alone in their feelings
Power must leave Brussels and
return to the European nations to end all their misery and injustice
This will allow economic
policies to be adjusted in these countries
Brussels continues to waste
money and continues to borrow money far more than it is entitled to
Europe has already paid
dearly for Brussels power crazy incompetence!
Drugs & their
proliferation is becoming an increasing concern, as the Afghanistan Government
becomes increasingly vulnerable & unstable
Afghanistan already produces
90% of the world’s opium and its flow is likely to increase
The Afghanistan Government is
losing control of the Afghan/Tajik border
Hundreds of Afghan and
Pakistani Taliban and Central Asian fighters and half a dozen different groups
have seized control
This is in large parts of the
northern Taliban provinces, which borders Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and
Tajikistan
As the worsening military
situation occurs in Afghanistan, so the flow of drugs increases
The warlords and the
extremists get more control on the Afghan side of the border
Much of their funding for
their military groups comes from drug trafficking
These Central Asian militant
groups are the prime traffickers of drugs into Russia, Europe and then on into
China as well
The Taliban and IS are
involved in trafficking drugs
Many Afghans are now living
in Moscow and other Russian towns
They want their share of the
huge profits that ensue once the drugs reach Russia and Europe
Russian ministers realise
that the volume of drug production in Afghanistan is growing at a threatening
pace
The income is being taken by
the militant groups in these countries and beyond its borders
In 2014 Tajik Drug Control
Agency captured six tonnes of heroin and opium
That is the tip of the
iceberg of the 6,500 tonnes of production in Afghanistan
Again we have America to
thank, as they have encouraged the production of poppies in Afghanistan
The US involvement has
brought the drug war and production over the last thirteen years, while they
have been in the country
It was done to pacify the
public there
It maintains the loyalty of
the warlords and opens up the country to resource extraction and military bases
As long as the warlords get
their pay, the US is able to maintain some control over the hinterland
This is beyond Kabul, where
it is the big part of their game plan
The science of biomimicry or
bionics is advancing in new ways to tackle modern issues for medicine, food
security and waste removal
This is done by observing the
processes in nature that deal with the same problems
An example here would be how
to understand about the surface of an aloe plant, which allows it to stay clean
if it grows in mud
If we look at nature, we see
that there is always energy around everywhere
It is locally supplied and
you do not need to be connected to the national grid
The use of our huge
waterfalls, which feed into lakes, are used in making electricity and this
nature provides constantly
Michael Pearce designed the
Eastgate building in Harare, Zimbabwe after he saw a documentary on termite
mounds
These mounds can control the
internal humidity and temperature, even when external temperatures change
dramatically
Pearce realised that humans
occupying a building give off heat, 80% of that energy is dispersed in a form
of waste heat
He saw the building not as a
form of concrete, but as an extension of our own metabolism works and so
designed the building accordingly
Scientists were inspired to
replicate dermal denticles or little skin teeth
These scales make up
sharkskin, which allows water to flow easily and discourages parasite growth,
such as algae and barnacles
By replicating these dermal
denticles, scientists put them on the bottom of boats and cargo ships
This allowed for less fuel to
drive the boats, as the hulls remain clean and do not require harsh cleaning
chemicals to do the job
This technique is now being
applied to create clean surfaces in hospitals, so that they can resist bacteria
growth
The bacteria can’t catch hold
on those surfaces
So the goal is to create
products, processes and policies – new ways of living that are well adapted on
earth for our futures
